Noah ’40’ Shebib Speaks On What To Expect From ‘Views From The 6′

Last month Drake dropped his latest track “Summer Sixteen” and announced ‘Views From The 6′ would be coming in April. In this new New York Times profile of Drake’s right hand and producer Noah ’40’ Shebib, he gives us an update on the album and what to expect.

Its no secret that Drake has been hard at work on ‘Views From The 6′. Both Drake and 40 have posted various pictures via Instagram in the studio heightening the excitement for the album. The New York Times was able to catch up with 40 during All-Star Weekend where he gave an update on the progress of ‘Views’.

On what to expect of ‘Views From The 6′:

“It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us. A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns. I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further. The overall approach may be the same as the one that the duo has finely honed, but still, something about it should be special.”

On Drake wanting to do a “rap album”:

“After ‘Nothing Was the Same,’ Drake was like, ‘I want to do a rap project. He wanted to do what all the other rappers get to do. But that approach is “a thing we can’t do that much on a Drake album. We have other fans we need to satisfy.”

With April just around the corner the anticipation for ‘Views’ is at an all time high!
